Gone are the rough-and-tumble days of the Time of the Red or the uncertainty of the 2020s; it's a new era for Night City, and you're going to be part of it, come Hell or high water!
Edgerunners - the various fixers, couriers, and mercenaries who can get things done just outside the letter of the law - are as much a part of Night City as any corpo exec, NCPD Officer, or street ganger by this time. It is more a way of life than a profession by the late 2060s. Folks throw themselves into the crime-infested underbelly of Night City in search of fame, glory, or a quick Eurodollar; most end up dead, forgotten in some back alley, plugged full of lead.
