News Flash!
As our regular readers may recall, Alan Batty, a prominent R&D Executive of Korinkawa Defense Inc., was reported missing 2 weeks ago after the street-race-turned-kidnapping in Charter Hill. Korinkawa Deffense Inc. has offered a reward for any information leading to Batty’s safe return, but little progress has been made since their disappearance.
Whatever the truth, things came to a head last night when half a dozen Korinkawa members flooded into the street and attacked a heavily secured Maelstrom convoy. Maelstrom forces, including Gang Lead Herman 'Hooligan' Stamm returned fire but weren’t quick enough to stop Korinkawa from inflicting heavy damage.
As of this morning, Korinkawa reps claim to have moved R&D Executive Batty to a secure location. Batty’s condition and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain a mystery. When asked for comment, Korinkawa merely stated that it will be some time before Batty returns to public life but that they are optimistic they will make a full recovery.
For reasons of personal security, Batty’s location will remain a closely-kept secret while they recuperate. Security Director Guozhi Yi will be stepping up to perform all necessary duties in their absence.

Fire Fights in Westbrook!
Every district has rougher sections, but it seems that Westbrook has seen more than its share of trouble lately. Last week, we brought you news of the battle between the Valentinos and the Tyger Claws, but it seems that was only the start of the trouble.
Inside sources suggest that 6th Street has quietly been hiring Techies since earlier this year -- and that they’re none too picky about who they hire. While the details remain unknown, we can confirm 6th Street has amassed a collection of drones and other robotics around one of several warehouses in Charter Hill.
Tyger Claws raided it late on the night of February 3rd. The fighting was surprisingly short-lived. The Claws seemed to be preparing to storm the warehouse, but quickly fell back, perhaps due to chatter that 6th Street’s reinforcements were gunning it to get there.
Interestingly, one bystander reported seeing a 6th Street member making a getaway with a metal briefcase in hand. More details as we receive them!

Rivalry Between Tyger Claws and Valentinos Turns Violent!
If you’ve been even half awake this year, you’ve likely caught wind of the smack talk between Exa Ponic of the Valentinos and Lan Wogawa of the Tyger Claws. Once star-crossed lovers, the two seem to have developed a bitter rivalry since Ponic's ex-lover killed Wogawa's little brother.
Violence erupted late last night. Sources report that after an intense firefight with the Valentinos, Tyger Claw agents were seen hurrying a disheveled Wogawa out of the area. Our reporters attempted to follow the trail but lost track of the crew amid the busy streets.
Meanwhile, the situation went from bad to worse for locals when a Hunter-Killer drone stored somewhere in the Claw’s hideout was activated. The machine rampaged through the area, crushing vehicles and bystanders caught in its path and bringing down the front wall of a nearby building before MaxTac was able to neutralize it.
When asked for comment, a Claw’s spokesperson merely said, “With innovation comes risk. We can only hope that the people of Night City realize how lucky they are to be on the cutting edge of such marvelous advancements.” The Tyger Claws have offered to compensate the victims of this most recent mishap, provided they can properly document their losses and sign appropriate legal wavers.
